Psychological Interventions



It is generally applied to a broad range of types of interventions, which includes psychotherapies (e.g., psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, problem solving therapy), community-based treatment e.g., assertive community treatment, first episode psychosis interventions … Examples of psychological disabilities include manic depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, anxiety disorders, delusional disorders, and eating disorders. Psychological disabilities can create barriers to education in different ways.
In this center, when a new child comes for admission after getting a diagnosis, a details psychological assessment will be conducted on the child by taking some information thorough parents and assessing the child through psychological tools. Through this assessment child's IQ level will be calculated and information will be passed to the parents and also the Special Educator who deals with the child, so that, according to the level teacher can plan the curriculum for him/her. Even through this assessment,t if any behavioral issues were associated with the child, then some guidance will be given by the Psychologist to the Special Educator in modifying the problem behaviors.
