About Us
Uma Educational and Technical Society, is a leading NGO in Kakinada district, Andhra Pradesh, working towards the noble cause of disability. Since 35 years, it has been instrumental in rendering services to the poor, needy, and people with all kinds of disability. It has been providing dedicated service to such people at free of cost with the support of high value donors. So far the trust has been able to reach out to thousands of beneficiaries or persons with disabilities.

The organization is registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 vide Registration Number 458/88 dated 13-09-1988. Since then, with the support of state government, central government, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and philanthropists, we are providing various rehabilitation services.

The organization is providing services to help the people with disabilities (Divyangjan) and the needy from grassroot level like early intervention to create their own livelihood opportunities through various activities in states like Andhra Pradesh and at Yanam in union territory of Puducherry.
From the Director's Desk
Mr. S.P. Reddy, M.A. (Psychology) is the founder and Executive Director of this organization has established this institution during the year 1988 with 9 disabled children. The main intention for establishing this is that all should work together sincerely to bring awareness on prevention of Disability/Rehabilitation/Empowerment so that there should not be any discrimination between ability and disability likewise to bring the changes among the public and provide as much as possible Safety/Security/Equality/Better Life/Social Life to needy disabled on par with able persons.

The Executive Committee of the organization and their staff are showing keen interest to extend various Rehabilitation Services to many PwDs (Divyangjan) in the Districts of East Godavari, West Godavari, Prakasam and Vizianagaram of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam of Puducherry (UT).

On seeing our best performance three State and six National prestigious awards were conferred to us as a token of dedicated services.

This is also registered under National Trust Act 1999, Persons with Disability Act 1995 / 2016. The donations are exempted under I.T. Exemption No: 12A.III/66/93-94 dt.03.10.1994, under Section 80G of Income tax Act 1961 vide No:III/7/80G/CIT/RJY/2011-12 dt. 14.07.2011 and FCRA Act XXI of 1976 vide Registration No: 010170086 from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
