About SADAREM

The objective of the SADAREM initiative is to create a Dynamic web-enabled system for Comprehensive access, Rehabilitation, and Empowerment, through Automation, Capacity Building, Assessment of persons with disabilities (PWDs), and maintaining a Decision Support System (DSS).

In India, this certificate is usually issued by Medical Boards constituted in certain Government Hospitals. A disability certificate is an important document for persons with disabilities because it entitles the holder to get benefits/facilities and Rights of Persons with Disabilities as per the government schemes.

The Disability Certificate and/ or Identity Card is the basic document that a person with any disability of more than 40 percent requires in order to avail of facilities, benefits, or concessions under the available schemes. This is not required for getting admission to a school for formal education.

So far, this organization has provided about 12500 Disability Certificates to PwDs.
