Today on the occasion of AZAD KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV Uma Educational & Technical Society conducted a program at Achampeta Junction. Later Chief Guest Mrs. Dr. M. Kamalakumari, Special Officer, AdhikaviNannayya University PG Center, Kakinada spoke about the efforts of the late PingaliVenkaiah who designed our national flag and the importance of the flag. As part of the program, Guest of Honour Mr. Bejawada Satyanarayana, President, Thimmapuram Gram Panchayat started the program by hoisting the flag. Shri S.P.Reddy Executive Director, Mr. K. Today at Uma educational & Technical society- Kakinada, free Assistive devices distribution camp was organized with the support of UTI Infrastructure Technology and services limited. For this organized distribution, the camp chief guest is Smt. S.ILLAKYA. IAS, Joint Collector, and Additional Magistrate, Kakinada District. The guest of honor is Shri V. Kamaraju, Asst. Director, Department of disabled Welfare, Senior citizens and Transgender. Shri S. P. Reddy, founder & Executive Director lead the program with a brief introduction about the organization. After the speech from guests, Assistive devices distribution was followed for beneficiaries. In this organized camp total appliances distributed are 35nos.( Tricycles-15, Hearing Aids-10, and Artificial Limbs-10. ) After the distribution of appliances Special school visit was followed with special need children interaction, After School visit “District disability Rehabilitation center’ (DDRC) visit has been followed. In this program, other staff members involved are Shri K. Narayana Reddy, Project Director. Shri S.A. Nayudu, principal, Smt. S. Uma Reddy, Persons with disabilities, Special school staff, and PwD Parents.
Uma Educational & Technical Society, Kakinada has organized an Assistive Devices Distribution for Person with Disabilities with the support of , under CSR Activity. Mrs. Krithika Shukla, IAS, Collector and District Magistrate, Kakinada District, has attended as chief guest and Mr. K.S.Murthy, Managing Director, Mrs. Neelima, Board of Director, Apex Frozen Foods Ltd, attend as guests of honors and Mr. V. Kamaraju, Assistant Director, Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled, Transgender and Senior Citizens, Kakinada District, has attended as special invitee and Mr.S.P Reddy Founder, Executive Director, UETS has presided over the meeting. 20 tricycles, 16 Artificial Limbs, 4 Calipers and 13 Hearing Aids have distributed in this program total 53 persons with disabilities have benefited from this program.
Sri S.P.Reddy, Founder & Executive Director, Uma Educational Technical Society, (Uma Manovikasa Kendram), Kakinada has received Best NGO Award on 26th Jan 2022 on the eve of Republic Day by Shri C Hari Kiran, I.A.S., Collector & District Magistrate, East Godavari District in the presence of Sri Kurasala Kannababu, Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture, Marketing and Cooperation, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Shri M.Ravindranath Babu I.P.S. , Superintendent of Police, East Godavari District.
50 Assistive Devices (10 Tricycles, 3 Wheel Chairs, 10 Artificial Limbs, 25 Hearing Aids and 2 pair of Crutches) distributed to differently abled persons with the support of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Government of India New Delhi, under ADIP Scheme. Sri Aditya Sharma, Chartered Accountant, Kakinada Participated as Chief guest, Dr. D Vijayalakshmi, Psychologist, Sri.P Kanaka Raju, Sri Satyanarayana, Executive members of Uma Educational & Technical Society. Also participated as special guests. The program was attended by Sri. S.P Reddy, Executive Director, Sri.K Narayana Reddy, Project Director, Sri.Nayudu, Principal, Dr.N.S.R Krishna Rao, Program Director, Sri. S Srinagesh, AO, Smt. S. Uma Reddy, in charge and all staff.
District Disability Rehabilitation Centre implementing agency: Uma Educational and Technical Society Kakinada has distributed 25 hearing aids, 15 all-terrain imported Tricycles and 20 artificial limbs to the PwDs with the support of Department of empowerment of persons with disabilities, ministry of social justice of empowerment, Government of India New Delhi under ADIP Scheme.
During this program Sri V Kamaraju, Assistant Director, Department of Welfare of Differently abled, Transgender and senior citizens East Godavari District as a chief Guest Dr. M Kamala Kumari, Dean CDC and Special officer MSN PG center, Aadikavi Nannaya University as a guest of honor and Sri P Subrahmanyam, Head CSR, Reliance Industry Ltd, Gadimoga as special invitee, Sri S.P Reddy, Executive Director of Uma Educational and Technical Society participated and distributed to the needy PwDs.
